Storage of bulk grease typically leads to numerous problems relating to storage & handling, dispensing, and contamination of the stored grease. To overcome these issues, IRS have designed a bulk Grease Storage Tank, with a capacity of 10,000kg. This tank design overcomes the typical issues found in bulk grease storage, namely:

1 Pumpability in cold weather
2 Contamination
3 Reporting current levels of product within the tank
4 Tank Over-filling
5 Un-useable grease hanging on the inside walls of the tank.

Standard Features

26:1 delivery pump, capable of delivering up to 25 kg/min
In-build follower plate to stop grease at the top of the tank becoming hard, and to ensure 90% of the capacity of the tank is useable
Emergency Pressure Vent Valve
3μm air breather fitted to tank
Over-fill shut-off valve
Visual level display of grease level within the tank
Filtration of the incoming grease to 400μm

Optional Features

Load Cells displaying the current tank contents in kilograms
Option to link the load cell display to site SCADA system
Scheduled daily emailing of tank current contents level to grease supplier, for automatic re-ordering
Heating element immersed within the grease, adjacent to pump suction point, to maintain pumpability in cold weather
Filtration of the outgoing grease to 200μm
